phew.
ok,
a. its really hot
b. im sweating so much that i cant wear clothes
c. i guess i dont care cause i love being naked.
this past week has been the most hectic thing ever.
too many hours spent at the station.
too little sleep in a series of days.
too much stress over a stupid collection of paper that no one will even read.
and the wierdest thing,
i absolutely love it.
ive been thinking slash talking (because thats basically the only thing im good at...) about how much i love my life. i think ive already had one of these posts where im like blah blah i love my life. its so grand. whatever. but really now, its so amazing. my job at the station is so much fun. yeah, its so much stress slash work but its something that i love and im really happy doing it. the people that i work with me are amazing and they are starting to actually become my friends.
last night was our sonic youth show which was basically the big event that we had on our plate. i felt that it went pretty well. a lot of people showed up which was great minus the fact that they turned a lot of people away. i passed kxlu swag out to people in line and i think they ended up hating me. i also went on stage before sonic youth to throw shit out and i think it was the most awkward slash terrible thing ive ever done. after we all went to the party that the event people had put on and had free food and free beer. cool. overall it was a grand night and im so happy.
its wierd because yeah, ive been so happy lately and i feel like i should be a little sad, or something. ok so that didnt really make sense but i guess i just think its weird that im so content. the other day some asshole said something mean and i totally broke down. then i started crying even more, not because of what he said, but because i was upset and i didnt enjoy it. i talked to greg and we worked some stuff out. but man. its odd to not know what it feels like to be upset.
so, i dont really have anything else to post about.

real, reali-ish update.
this week was pretty wierd.
i got a boyfriend:
in simple terms, it just got really crazy, really fast. in a nutshell, i liked him. i didnt think he liked me. i got over it. he liked me. i sorta liked him again. he asked me out. i was like, ok? then i didnt want a boyfriend. so now its just done and wierd. sucks.
i went to hot chip:
it was amazing. there was an opener called "planning to rock" and basically it was my favorite thing ever. i was really stoned and she had a crazy outfit and a really crazy video behind her. i really really enjoyed it and i was bummed that everyone else didnt like her as much as i did. and then there was hot chip. hot chip had a really wierd crowd. people were old and slutty and i was surprised that specific crowd liked hot chip. anyways..
i also went to sage francis:
we went to see the openers more than sage francis. sage played with alias and buck 65. buck 65 is such a fox and i basically want to get married to him. he stood on the stage with a fake neck brace and bandage. throughout his set he slowly took these things off and it was silly. what was even sillier was the fact that he threw glitter in the air while performing. awesome.
i've been doing the whole weed thing:
i feel like ever since i got home from school, ive been the stoner in the group. i feel like at school its not a big deal and we smoke everyday without even thinking about it. at home its wierd to me that i dont smoke everyday. i think two days is a long time without smoking and most people would disagree. or maybe just the people that i hang out with. i dont know. yesterday i smoked five times and i wasx probably stoned for a good ten hours.
this book:
im reading this book called "neil's book of the dead" and its really really the best book i have ever read. its not really a novel or anything but its just this thing that these two people put together. its like this guy neil and its a collection of his thoughts and poems. its basically his suicide note to the rest of the world and it explores his mind and thoughts through thirteen chapters in which he calls "bobos." its really odd and really amazing.

summer has been ok.
ive been hanging out with michelle a lot which is awesome.
i also got to hang out with grayson, zack, palmer, chris, etc.
it was an adventure.
this week we went to the la brea tarpits, got stoned and ate lots of guacamole.
since school has been out, we've probably gone to amoeba at least 8 times.
thats at least once a week. always successful, never old.
yesterday we went to MOCA, then the geffen, then the pacific design center.
we went to see Exene from x. it was neat.
i came home and my friend and i created a super hero.
word boy.
he's traveling to the land of ill-literate to save the people from being ill.
word boy travels with his sidekick spelling bee and meets his lover, librarian lady.
they obtain different weapons like his dictionary, thesaurus and most importantly, his travel scrabble.
these weapons are used to fight off villans.
villians such as slang, ebonics, and jargon.
once they defeat these villians the land of ill-literate will no longer be illiterate, but literate!
so i dont know about you, but im pretty stoked.
its like 7:30 am and i dont even need to be up until 10. im not sure what im doing awake.
im going to work in a little while then stock up for a stellar picnic at the hollywood bowl.
i get to see morrisey tonight with the bffs. solid.
im excited for greg and dennis to come home. its going to be fun.
i feel like im waiting for something exciting to happen so i actually know that summer started.
im not sure what though.

so life is cool.
ive been working at the radio station a lot.
its really fun though, im the new general manager and music director at KLMU.
i also got a KXLU show which is rad.
i had my second show yesterday and this band division day came in and we had silly time.
it basically highlighted every reason why i love working there.
im glad how things are playing out and im just trying to stay positive for the rest of summer.
yesterday i also got to see matt, mikey, cha'd, patrick, and kyle which made me super happy.
im getting a new road bike this week or next and im super stoked on that.
im just really happy about things.
lets keep it that way!

let me just tell you, i was so upset yesterday.
my friends came into the room at 12 at night.
turned off all of the lights.
handed me a huge bag full of polaroid film, snacks, gifts and a card.
they handed me a handle of captain morgan's filled with orchids.
and then they all lined up and sang this song to me while my friend david played the guitar.
that wasnt it though, they brought me to another room for my last gift.
a video.
of each of them saying how they met me and such.
it was probably the nicest thing that anyone has ever done for me.
and to know that it was from 8 of the silliest boys in the world, makess me smile.
seriously though, i am very happy.
